September 20, 2011 - 4.0.2.2440 Patch Notes

Bug fixes

  • The Fairytale event has been fixed. All quests and NPCs are now available again.

  • Conjurer Chapeaunoir, Grafu's Castle: Fixed the problem occuring during the cooldown time of the first "Frenzy". Before: The boss immediately enters the "Frenzy" state again when casting "Shuffle Deck". Now: Chapeaunoir won't enter the "Frenzy" state when casting "Shuffle Deck".

  • Scout/Druid Elite skill, Devour Blood: Now has a cooldown of 30 seconds and the mana regeneration activates every 30 seconds as intended.

  • Item Shop costume – Sismond Wings: Previously when using jewels, Sismond Wings did not give any XP/TP or luck bonuses. This issue has now been fixed and Sismond Wings are working as intended.

Changes

  • Xaviera:
    • Main questlines in the Static Lathrofea have been fixed.

  • Tilheim Finster will appear in the Lathrofea again when the last quest in this area Forward the Intelligence is completed. (Previously Tilheim Finster would disappear when the quest Undying Will had been reported back to him.

  • Villagers without Motives:
    • Report NPC changed from Tilheim to Colin Lotus.

    • Description: Player can learn a skill, with these skill they can port themselves to the instances. The skill costs 200 mementos and every use needs a transport rune.

Bugs Fixes

    • Time to harvest has been standardized at 24 hrs instead of 36 hrs.

  • Changes to Arcane Transmutor interface:
    • Clicking on “Arcane Transmutor Help” now shows the entire help text.
    • Changed info text for “Disenchant” to reflect the actual effects
      • Text now reads: Combine 1 fusion stone and an equipment item, and receive 1 mana stone of the same tier as the equipment or higher. The mana stone can be fused with equipment to raise the equipment's powers.

  • Adjustments to Channel 2 and above in Guild Siege:
    • When player clicks on the Battlefield button, the hint is now displayed correctly: “You are currently in Siege War”.

  • Adjustments to Warrior attack skills Probing Attack, Open Flank and Thunder:
    • Debuffs now only affect the individual, and players in a group can now use all these skills in succession. (Previously only one individual in the group could finish this combo successfully)

  • Rune Extraction:
    • Players are no longer able to remove runes from items locked by Equipment Lock. An error message appears instead.

  • Now, when players destroy one of the following items in Malatina’s Course of Terror, they will no longer receive any dropped items:
    • Void Summoning Barrier

  • Adjustments to Guild Siege item Face of Treachery:
    • Players now receive a buff that lasts for 30 seconds – Balance Perception to prevent them from being affected by Treacherous Prohibition after they cast Face of Treachery. This prevents them from being constantly affected by Knockdown caused by Face of Treachery.

  • Changes to the 2nd Boss in Cyclops Lair:
    • The last remaining minion no longer runs after you after you kill the boss. This originally happened when you attacked the Boss to reduce his HP in order to kill the minions, and the treasure chest has appeared after the minions are dead and the boss disappears.

  • The names of the following items now show up when players gather them:

    • Text now reads: By combining the Mage's instinct and the Knight's honor, you will be able to unleash to enhance the effect of Energy Influx. When you use Energy Influx, your magical critical hit rate is increased.

  • Changes to Warden skill Charged Chop Injury:
    • Now the skill name will be displayed in the battle log.

  • Changes to Heavy Artillery Vehicle in the instance Malatina’s Course of Terror:
    • After the player obtains the title from NPC Malatina and use the Heavy Artillery Vehicle, it will work properly.

  • Changes to quests:
    • Now the quest The Secret History of the Palace can be reported back at any stage of the quest Return to Dalanis. (Previously History of the Palace couldn’t be reported back after Return to Dalanis had been completed.)

  • Changes to Druid/Mage elite skill Shield of Life:
    • It now works only on players. (Previously also on friendly NPCs)

  • Changes to Rogue Skill Numbing Dagger:
    • It can be used properly now.

  • Changes to the skill Summon Oak Walker:
    • The shortnote reads now: Summons an Oak Walker to assist you. If your skill attacks land a critical hit during the effect time, the Oak Walker will additionally cast Sepal Stab on your target.

  • Changes to the dialogue with the Ailic’s Aide in Sascilia Steppes:
    • He will speak his lines instead of the lines he had with the other NPCs.

  • Changes to planting Items:
    • When planting the following seeds in the residence, black lines will no longer appear on their flower buds: Needle Seed, Aurora Seed, Lovemusk Seed.

Skill adjustments

  • 1. Corrected bug in the Rogue/Mage elite skill "Create Opportunity":
    • Skill effect no longer vanishes upon attack, and all hits are critical during effect time.

  • 2. Corrected text for level 50 Knight/Mage elite skill:
    • The instructor no longer incorrectly describes this skill as a Priest/Mage skill. Players will no longer mistakenly believe that **they have learnt the wrong skill.
    • Explanatory text for Priest set skill “Altar of Shadoj” has been corrected:
    • Corrected problem whereby the actual player skill contained different values from the buff info text

Quest Adjustments

  • In the main line quest of "Static Lathrofea" in Xaviera:
    • Before: After player reports back on the quest "Undying Will" to NPC "Tilheim Finster" and then proceeds with the other quests, "Tilheim Finster" will disappear, which causes the problem that the player is unable to complete the quest "Important Intelligence".
    • After: "Tilheim Finster" will appear again after the last quest of this area – "Forward the Intelligence" is completed.

Zones Adjustments

  • Xaviera Inferno Gardens:
    • The number of Gathered Souls Magic Formations remains the same even after Spirit Core dies. It no longer stacks and causes client problems.

Items

  • New 4.0.0 item Scary Jack-in-the-Box now has an icon.

Warden Skill & Ability Balancing

  • Adjustments to Warden Skills:
    • We’ve made a number of significant adjustments to the Warden Skills and secondary skill combinations with the purpose of enabling the Warden to be either a DPS class or secondary tank, reducing the burden of the Knight and increase the overall variety of tactics in instances.

  • Warden’s Companion
    • Increased pet survival rate and basic attributes. Some pets can perform passive skills to assist their owners. For details please refer to the section about the changes to the pet skills.

  • Skills
    • Changed most of the Warden skills to deal physical damage and adjusted their power. Less useful skills and/or functions have been removed.

Pet skills and new passive skills

  • All Pets: "Strike Back Mode" is now known as "Counterattack"
    • When activated, this ability now causes the pet to automatically attack the master’s target while in combat.

  • Spirit of the Oak
    • Will now absorb one deadly attack within the duration of the effect and will restore your character to full health. (This effect cannot be activated for 300 seconds after the effect disappears)

  • Oak Walker
    • If you land a critical hit during the effect time, the Oak Walker will cast an extra Sepal Stab on your target.
    • Magic Interference: Effect changed from “reduces the target’s Magical Accuracy” to “reduces the target’s Physical and Magical Accuracy.”

  • Nature Crystal
    • The two attack skills have been changed to be auxiliary auras.
    • Replaced Beam Attack with Crystalline Acceleration: Increases the Physical Attack Speed and Casting Speed of team members by 5% for 15 seconds within a radius of 75 from the pet's master. (Right-click to initiate automatic attack)
    • Replaced Crystal Explosion with Crystalline Protection: Casts Crystalline Protection on all team members within a radius of 75 from the pet's master. Negates damage equal to 10 % of maximum HP for 15 seconds. (Right-click to initiate automatic attack)
    • Nature Crystal can’t perform these 2 effects at the same time. Players can choose one of them to assist them in combat accordingly.

  • Warden/Scout: Chiron the Centaur
    • Centaur's Arrow
      • Now the skill delivers extra effect: An arrow infused with the strength of centaurs. Inflicts 35 physical damage on the target. If missed, it will increase your Critical Physical Hit Rate by 200 until it delivers a critical hit. (Right-click to initiate automatic attack)

Primary Skills

  • Charged Cleave (formerly Charged Chop)
    • The previous attack distance was too short, so some time after the skill was cast, the target could not be attacked and damage was reduced. Now player still needs to get close to the target to cast Charged Chop, but it will affect targets within a range of 150.

  • Soul Attack
    • This skill has been removed.

  • Thorny Vine
    • Before: DPS increased as time passed.
    • After: Deals fixed damage over time, but the damage will scale with the equipment’s level.
    • Power level = 1: Causes 6 physical damage every 2 seconds for 8 seconds.
    • Power level = 65: causes 162 physical damage every 2 seconds for 8 seconds.

  • Heart of the Oak
    • The base values have been adjusted:
      • When Power level = 1, you receive a temporary increase to your max HP by 1%, and your physical denfense by 5%. The effect lasts 900 seconds. (You can only obtain the power of one type of pet at a time.)
      • When Power level = 65, It temporarily increases your max HP by 7.5%, and your physical denfense by 112.3%. The effect lasts 900 seconds. (You can only obtain the power of one type of pet at a time)

  • Frantic Briar
    • Adjusted from magical damage within range to physical damage within range, to boost functionality.

  • Two-Hand Weapon Mastery
    • Now increases two-handed weapon damage by an additional 5%. (The maximum level of this skill is 50.)
    • Skill Level 0 = 5%, Skill Level 50 = 50%

  • Vitality Explosion
    • Skill effect has been adjusted to the following: Use Power of the Wood Spirit to restore 10% HP. Cannot be activated for 25 seconds after duration.”

  • Elven Guidance
    • Due to the adjustments to the Natural Crystal’s skill, pets can now restore their mana when their Punch or Stab hits the target.

  • Warden/Warrior:
    • Double Chop
      • Now removed the additional effect of reducing the mana cost of the following skills and increasing rage generation by 30% for 15 seconds. Changed the skill to an aggro skill (Each skill level adds to aggro)
      • Changed to uses MP instead of rage & Cooldown changed to 3 seconds.

    • Beast Chop
      • Removed the additional skill of increasing your pet’s attack power by 2% for 10 seconds. And changed it to an aggro skill and inflicts 90% main hand weapon DPS and a Beast Sigil for 7 seconds. (Each skill level adds to aggro)
      • Cooldown changed to 7. Skill Level 0 = 90.0%, Skill Level 67 = 451.8%

    • Replaced Restraint with Immortal Power
      • Changed the skill name to Immortal Power: it flows from the deepest recesses of your being. You can withstand received physical and magical damage three times over the course of 15 seconds.

    • Pulse Mastery
      • Changed the skill from passive skill to attack still and can only be cast on targets with a Beast Sigil, and it causes 110% main weapon DPS to the target and for 15 seconds aggro created by attacks in increased by 10%.
      • Skill Level 0 = 110.0 %, Skill Level 67 = 552.2 %

    • Resonance of Life is now known as "Resilience of Life"
      • Adjusted to become a passive skill. Enables you to equip plate armor and reduces received damage by 5%.

    • Will Attack
      • Changed it to a ranged attack skill, inflicting 80% main hand weapon DPS to the targets in the range of 75 and decreases the targets' attack damage by 10% for 7 seconds.
      • Skill Level 0 = 80%, Skill Level 67 = 401.6%

    • Coat of Arms
      • Adjusted from a passive skill to buff: When you cast Coat of Arm on a friendly party member, it increases your and the friendly member's physical and magical defense by 30% for 20 seconds.

  • Warden/Scout:
    • Submission
      • This skill is now an offensive skill, and inflicts 100% main hand weapon physical DPS on the target.
      • Skill Level 0 = 100.0%, Skill Level 67 = 502.0%

    • Morale Boost
      • Damage done has been increased. Now temporarily increases your and your party members’ physical damage by 30 + 2% and magical damage by 20 + 2% for 30 seconds.
      • Calculation adjustment. Skill Level 0 = 32.1 + 2.1%; 21.4 + 2.1%, Skill Level 67 = 170.7 + 11.4%; 113.8 + 11.4%

  • Warden/Rogue:
    • Thorn Upgrade:
      • Now restores 10% of specified player’s max mana.
      • Known issue: 10% is currently not mentioned in skill description

  • Warden/ Mage:
    • Wind Chop
      • Now, when the target sustains extra damage, MP is not used up. Also, the additional wind damage is increased.
      • Skill Level 0 = 90.0%; 20.0 wind damage, Skill Level 67 = 451.8%; 690.0 wind damage

    • Oak Blessing
      • Heart of the Oak now regenerates 50 HP every 5 seconds.
      • Known issue: 50 HP is not mentioned in skill description

    • Spiritual Feedback
      • Now enhances the power of your pet "Oak Walker". When your skill delivers a critical hit, the attack power of the Oak Walker will be greatly enhanced.

    • Crystal Protection is now known as “Crystal Womb”
      • You no longer need to sacrifice nature crystals to use this. Orders your Nature Crystal to protect team members by protecting them in its shards. Reduces magical and physical damage by 20% for multiple friendly targets within a radius of 100 for 10 seconds.

    • Crystal Boost is now known as "Pet Enhance".
      • Skill name changed to Pet Enhance. This skill now temporarily enhances your pet’s abilities, increasing its physical attack power by 30% for 30 seconds.
      • Uses 3% MP, Cooldown 2 Minutes.
      • Known issue: displays as 0.0 seconds, will be fixed.

  • Warden/Druid:
    • Magic Control
      • Now also lowers target’s physical attack power in addition to restricting target’s magic energy: Decreases magic attack power and physical attack by 20% for 20s.
      • Skill Level 0 = 2.0%, Skill Level 67 = 12.7%

    • Natural Spring
      • Effect changed to: When you use Charged Chop, party members within a range of 75 will recover 90 HP.
      • Known issue: 90 HP not mentioned in Skill description

    • Crystal Heal
      • Effect changed to: Restores 80 HP to multiple friendly party members within a range of 70 from Crystal Heal. (Requires Nature Crystals).
      • Uses 30 MP, Cooldown 30 seconds.
      • Skill Level 0 = 2.0%, Skill Level 67 = 12.7%

Bug Fixes & Adjustments

  • Skills:
    • Mage/Knight
      • Elite skill “Messenger of Light”
        • Increased accuracy will no longer be displayed, but it will continue to have an effect. (2% increase)

    • Warrior/Knight
      • Elite Skill "Concentrated Precision”
        • Has a new feature: Allows Warriors also to equip plate armor to become the second tank.

    • Priest
      • Holy Candle Shield
        • Before: it only worked on the party members. The caster still had full immunity
        • After: now the skill works on the caster and the targeted party members.

    • Elite skill – Freeze:
      • Added “For players this effect lasts for (Buff1-Time)” in the skill’s short note.

    • Priest/Mage
      • Elite skill “Windrider Halo”
        • Increased accuracy will no longer be displayed, but it will continue to have an effect. (6% increase)

    • Druid/Warden
      • Elite skill - Mysterious Grace
        • Now it will no longer cancel the effect of Scout’s “Blood Arrow” and Mage’s “Intensification.”

    • Warden
      • Briar Shield
        • No longer repels damage on the player (This issue only happened in rare occasions)

  • Crafting:
    • Speed-up effect when crafting items only works on the first item. The crafting speed of the 2nd and subsequent items will return to normal. This has been fixed for the House Crafting Speed Bonus and the Item-Set Skill Improved Crafting Speed

  • Items:
    • Runic Olivine Ingot - Guild contribution value
      • Before: Runic Olivine Ingot was worth 12961
      • After: Runic Olivine Ingot now can be exchanged for 15120

    • Lucky Ring
      • The sentence "Can be used on you and other players" has been removed from the shortnote.

    • The effect of the following items will no longer work on pets, but team members within range will benefit from them:

    • Daily quests in Southern Janost Forest
      • Balancing changes to the quests; Even More Lavender Sprigs, More Clothes Lines, Get Rid of Even More Disgusting Insects.
      • The rewards have been adjusted to 2409 gold and and 122793 experience.

    • The Essence of Alchemy
      • The 5 x Strong Magic Potions required to complete this quest were not being accepted. This bug has been fixed and players can now complete the quest and proceed to master alchemy, as intended.

    • Myrmex Poison Experiment can now be completed again.

  • Instances & Mini Games:
    • Instance bug in Hall of Survivors
      • The Rogue’s “Hide” ability now functions normally in the Hall of Survivors. He will not be seen by monsters when using it.

    • Guild Drill Ground: Destiny
      • The exchange rate for 50 Lucky Badges has been adjusted from 5 to 1 Destiny Ring (with the drillmaster).

  • Miscellaneous:
    • Pets now receive heals instead of damage from enemy AoE skills, making their survivability better. Single target skills on pets still do damage.

    • Changed the rules for Herald status:
      • When the player who was originally the first to achieve “Herald” returns to the Siege War, all he has to do is enter the battlefield and get close to the Guild Honor Crystal to regain “Herald” status.

    • Changes to PVP rules:
      • Players with names in white (Neutral Reputation) will no longer lose their armor when killed (previously there was a 10% chance of this happening.)

    • Character interface:
      • Main/secondary hand critical hit ratings are now shown separately

    • Fireboot Underground Fortress: House Maid "Shaif Rebecca"
      • Players will appear in front of Shaif Rebecca instead the entrance of the Fireboot Underground Fortress when they leave the house.

    • Limo Desert instance, minion debuff
      • Slow Motion: Now decreases movement speed by -15% (instead of +15%).

    • Minion debuff in The Origin
      • Wind Blade Area: now increases attack speed +10% (instead of -10%).

    • When using the Convenient Mailbox, players will now be able to use them at a distance from the selected NPC to open the interface. (Previously consumed an item without opening interface when at a distance)

    • The effect when an NPC transports a player to the Guild Drill Grounds (when player chooses the option) no longer has a buff icon.

    • Now when players attack the monster from a long distance, the monster’s HP won’t be restored when entering combat.

    • The following pets can now be placed in the Partner bag as well:
      • Sigil of the Lucky Green Frog
      • Sigil of the Lucky Red Frog

    • Fixed an exploit which allowed players to use passive Item Set skills on a different class.

      • During a Siege War, when a player from your own camp achieves “Herald“ status, and then gets disconnected, logs in again or leaves the battleground, the other players in that camp taking part in the Siege War will receive 1000 points of Guild War Merit, but also be unable to achieve “Herald” status. However, when the player who was originally the first to achieve “Herald” returns to the Siege War, all he has to do is enter the battlefield and get close to the Guild Honor Crystal to regain “Herald” status.

      • Bug fixed in the Sticky Quicksand effect cast by the world boss "Sandlord Sesphiroth". Now lowers affected players’ attack speed by 70% instead of increasing it by 70%.

  • Siege Wars Instance:
    • Rectified problem in the Siege War instance (Zone 402). When player captured the enemy’s Guild Honor Crystal or Crystal Source, the message that appeared could only display these names in English. These are now displayed in the correct languages.

      • 1. When player captures the enemy’s Crystal Source.
      • 2. When player recaptures the Crystal Source from the enemy.
      • 3. When player captures the enemy’s Guild Honor Crystal.

  • Zones:
    • Guild Drill Ground
      • Problems that result when players going offline and logging in again or selecting “Stuck Report” while an activity is in progress have been fixed. This affects the following activities: “Destiny” and “Spirit Warrior”.

      • 1. Now, if a player presses the Esc key and chooses to fill in a stuck report while the activity is in progress, after he is transported to the nearest respawn point, even if the activity is still in progress, it will end and the points will be tallied. All relevant NPCs, treasure chests, point boards and countdown timers will also be deleted.

      • 2. Now, if a player goes offline while an activity is in progress, and then logs in again on the same day and uses the Guild Drill Ground Repeat Ticket (206351) to enter the activity again, the problem whereby the NPC, treasure chests etc. are spawned yet again will not be encountered.
