Drowned corpses are part of the Waves of Madness World Event and can be looted by one player to receive a stack of Rune King's Seals, an item from The Depths of Murder artifact set and miscellaneous consumables (scrolls etc). Once de-spawned, drowned corpses seem to either be on a very long re-spawn timer, or re-spawn in a different location, similar to artifacts.

Confirmed Locations

Drowned Corpses seem to spawn either at random or in a large number of set locations around coastlines, rivers and lakes. Confirmed zones include Freemarch, Silverwood, Stonefield, Scarlet Gorge, Scarwood Reach, Moonshade Highlands, Iron Pine Peak and Shimmersand. They can most likely be found worldwide.
