Finding Agents

Finding agents can be a very confusing part of EVE when first joining the game. The best way to start is to doing the missions that start in your original base. You’ll be given missions that are simple courier missions that will give you your first bit of income to get started in the game (a hint: buy a stronger frigate when you are able). The pick up and drop off places of the courier missions will give you a chance to take a look at various stations, these stations will have a section saying “Agents available to you” that will show the names of agents you can receive missions from right then. It will give them a level (from 1-5, as a beginner, you will be doing 1) and then a rank. The higher the rank, the higher the quality of the mission is (meaning, a level 1 rank 15 agent will be of higher quality and be more of a challenge than a level 1 rank 2 agent). Basically, the ranks are the levels within each of the levels (1-5). This is the straightforward way of finding agents as a new player that comes naturally by doing the missions of your first agent. There is another way of seeing what agents you can work with, though this takes a few steps to get to. Open character sheet, go to the standings section, in the standings sections, go to the “Liked by” tab. From here, there will be a list of factions, by each faction, there will be an info button to click. After clicking the info tab of a faction, go to the Member Corp tab and click on one of the different options (if you want to get some combat experience, go to the navy corp). There will be sections here where you can click them and it will bring up a list of agents available to you in that type of mission (go with security for the combat experience).
