Definitions

Below are the definitions for items you can equip to increase the attributes of your character.

Item Rarity

Junk

These are the most commonly dropped items. They have no use other than to sell to a vendor to make some money.

Common

These items are common throughout the game and have some sort of use in-game either to consume, use in professions or as a currency.

Uncommon

These items are harder to find/collect. They usually have special value and would be worth holding onto either for your own use or to auction off.

Rare

These items are very hard to find. They will have some special use and could be worth a lot of money or useful in your own endeavors.

Epic

The most rare kind of items to find, most of them will be from extremely difficult sources or battles. Some are also a random world drops that could make you very rich or very lucky.

Armor Types

Cloth
Cloth armor is the most suitable armor for the Mage. Most cloth armor will either specialize in Intelligence or Wisdom attributes.

Leather
Leather armor is the most suitable armor for the Rogue. Most leather armor will either specialize in Dexterity or Strength attributes.

Chain
Chain armor is the most suitable armor for the Cleric. Most chain armor will either specialize in Wisdom (Rift), Intelligence or Strength attributes.

Plate
Plate armor is the most suitable armor for the Warrior. Most plate armor will either specialize in Strength or Endurance.

Weapon Types

Dagger
A quick striking weapon used by several callings.

An well-rounded weapon used by several callings.

Greatsword
A bulky and deadly weapon highly favored by warriors.

  • Example:

Totem
A useful off-hand weapon for magic users when using a magic based dagger or sword.

Polearm
A slow but hard hitting melee weapon. best used by warriors

Staff
A melee based weapon used by mages and clerics

Bow
A ranged weapon used by ranged physical dps.A rogues weapon of choice.

Generic Armors, Weapons & Accessories

A lot of randomly dropped items use a specific naming system. This table can be handy when searching for upgrades within the Auction House system.

Some helpful information to understand the table below

  • Primary Stat means a majority of attribute points will be under this attribute, an example would be:
    • Intelligence +11
    • Wisdom +7
    • Endurance +2
  • Some examples of a Unique Identifier would be:
    • Chain Gloves of the Ancient
    • Cloth Tunic of the Anointed
  • Click the blue headers to sort a column alphabetically.

Planar Focus & Essences

Planar Focus
These are equipable items that you can place Planar Essences into to add more attributes to your character. These can be awarded from quests or purchased with Planar Currencies. Remember that you can only use a focus once; once you fill a focus with essences, you have to purchase a new one to place upgraded essences into.

Planar Essences
These are items that are obtained either from purchasing with Planar Currencies, from the Auction House or from completing Rifts and Invasions. These can be equipped into:

Lesser Planar Essence
Lesser Planar Essences contain useful attributes and sometimes planar-specific resistances.

Greater Planar Essence
Greater planar essences contain a passive ability that can occur during combat.

Accessories

Necklace
You may equip one to your character profile. These can be gained from quests, crafting, drops, instance rewards or reputation rewards.

  • Example:

Trinket
You may equip one to your character profile. These can be gained from crafting, drops, instance rewards or reputation rewards.

  • Example:

Rings
You may equip two of them to your character profile to increase your stats. These are crafted with the Artificer profession. They may also be found as quest rewards or world drops.
