1) Which Factions give out faction ships?

Currently the following factions give out Faction Ships:

Empire Factions:
  • Gallente Federation
  • Caldari State
  • Amarrian Empire
  • Minmatar Republic
Pirate Factions:
  • Angel Cartel
  • Serpentis
  • Guristas Pirates
  • Blood Raider Covenant
  • Sanshas Nation

The following factions do NOT give out faction ships:
  • Ammatar
  • Khanid Kingdom
  • Intaki Syndicate
  • Thukker Tribe
  • Sisters of Eve
  • Mordu's Legion Command
  • Interbus
  • ORE

2) How do I get a Faction ship?

In order to get one of these ships you’ll need to work for an agent that works for a corporation who is part of a faction that is on the list above.
For example: An agent working for the Gallente Senate will give out Gallente Faction ships.
Any corporation within the factions mentioned above will give out the same faction ships.

The fastest way of getting a faction ship is by working for a level 4 agent, since level 3's and below don’t give quite as much loyalty points per mission.

Once you reach a certain level of loyalty points your agent might offer you the ship. Your agent will randomly take an offer from the 10 offers that are closest to your current amount of loyalty points.

Once you get the offer your agent will request something in return, this varies per offer but usually comes down to either: a normal ship + trade goods + and a Nexus chip or a Pirate Dog Tags.

3) What will an agent want for the ship besides Loyalty Points?

This varies per offer, there are 2 types of offers you can get.
A: The ‘harder’ offer which requires LPS + Dog Tags in exchange for a BPC, this type costs the least LPS.
B: The ‘easier’ offer which requires LPS + Several Trade Goods a Tech I ship and a Nexus chip.
B will cost you more Loyalty points but all of the items needed are fairly easy to find, offer A will require several hard to get Dog Tags, though searching in them for the trade channels/trade forums will usually get you the ones you need.

For exact details per ship offer you can check out Hido's agent offers database. It contains most ships and items your agent will offer you.

4) Where do I find these Nexus Chips?

Please note that this section is a work in progress, finding info about these chips is quite a pain.

Nexus chips can be gotten trough agent offers just like ships and items.
There are 3 diffrent chips, one for Frigates, one for Cruiser and One for Battleships.
The Gallente for example have:
Gallente Alpha Nexus Chip - Battleships
Gallente Beta Nexus Chip - Cruisers
Gallente Gamma Nexus Chip - Frigates

From what i found out you can get offer for the chips between the following LPS levels:
500-2.000 LPS - Frigate Chip
2.000-5.000 LPS - Cruiser Chip
5.000-10.000 LPS - Battleship Chip

So far everything indicates all agents within a faction regardeless of their corporation or agent division will offer you the Nexus chips.

Please note that any more information regarding the mount of LPS your chip costed is welcome, itll allow me to narrow down the exact amounts needed.

5) Why are T2 ships better than Faction ships?

Faction ships can be compared to named items, they’re better then the T1 versions but can’t match the T2’s.
Basically they’re ‘named’ ships (Though some are better looking then T2 ships and have ‘unique’ models).

They’re generally considered collectors items rather then real ships, mainly because only the Named Battleships can out perform normal battleships in the battlefield. (Until T2 Battleships come out)
T2 Cruisers and Frigates will kick any faction ships ass.

6) How many Loyalty points do I need for each ship?
