my ls fought genbu, byakko, suzaku, and seiryu last night i was so anxious to fight seiryu for the kote and they saved seiryu for last lol, at first i thought i could only lot the abj. for the crimson hands but i was allowed to lot the kote, as soon as it droped i looked and there it was the seiryu kote droped. i was so excited now i need to get 4 more levels to wear these bad boys ><
My linkshell fought Seiryu tonight. I was the only person lotting for Seiryu's kote. My static buddy was lotting for Crimson hands. Everything was going smoothly, once he got down to 1/4HP, he went berserk; I was sure we were going to wipe, but thank Jeebus for some quick Shadowbinds, we were able to raise the dead, let them rest and continue. He got down to a sliver of life and one of our Rangers hit him with a Slug Shot to finish him off. I was at the edge of my seat to see what drops we were getting. The first thing it listed was Seiryu's kote; I was in total shock because I have the worst luck at getting lottery drops. Now i'm going to rush myself my remaining 3 lvls so I can wear these bad-boys :D
Actually Trick Attack from a sub has no damage multiplier at all in it, so AGI does nothing for it. Sneak Attack from a sub is only a garaunteed crit, and also has no damage multiplier, so DEX does nothing for it. DEX and AGI are helpful for THF main only.
while dex doesn't effect SA on /thf, dex WILL affect how much your crit hits for.. so the modifier isn't as large as on thf/??? but will still help out... hell I can't wait to try some sam/thf with byakko's haidate >.> but i want the kote for sam/rng lol.
He was deliberately talking about the abilities themselves. Learn to comprehend context of a conversation before you make yourself look like an idiot rambling on about stuff that is only related by association.
also ive heard the more agi you have it raises the ranged acc cap. each lvl has a cap on how high ranged acc and attack can go. agi allows you to raise the cap on ranged acc a little higher. where as str raise the cap on ranged attack.
Thats correct. Every status (STR, VIT, MND, etc..) all have soft caps. By adding armor that increases those starts, you raise the soft cap and boost that ability more. This is why when WHM equip lots of +MND items, regular cures get boosted.
Just for information : you can desynth this amazing piece of armor.... friend make mistake and desynth it but desynth fails and he loose the gloves... Just be carefull ;)

Here's a little of what I know about stats. When you attack: Attack goes against Defense Accuracy goes against Evasion Stregnth goes against Vitality Dex goes against Agility
2 dex also = 1 accuracy 2 str also = 1 attack
Str AND attack both go into damage equasions as well as dex AND accuracy going into hit rate.
Since dex itself helps your hitting rate, increases your critical hit rate, and also increased your base accuracy which also helps your hit rate, it would seem to me that dex is a good thing to enhance. (I've also herd multiple times that dex decreases your delay, very little)
It would also make perfect sense that maybe agi counters dex in the aspect of critical hit rates, It might explain why crits are more common on lower level mobs.
None of what I said is based on cold hard facts, but nothing of what anyone says is based on cold hard facts. Some of this is common knowledge (thought to be true) but its all hear-say.
DEX is not "RNG STR", DEX does nothing to RNG except increase the critical rate and improve accuracy for melee weapons. Ranged attack is STR based, just as with melee attack.
you're getting close. rang.atk. for bows is based on a precentage of strength and a percentage of agility. rang.atk. for guns/crossbows is a percentage of agility only. i don't know how throwing works, but i'd guess it's similar to bows, possibly with adjusted percentages.

Could you maybe find somehere that they said this, a site or something? If they confermed that in black and white maybe they said other stuff too, might be interesting to see what else they've said. I've yet to see anywhere GM's have said anything.
edit: Also, for the guy's post below also, you know anywhere they've claimed things like this?
The base stats have do more than just add a puny amount of acc/atk/racc/def.. Dex also affects your critical hit rate. (your a thief, you should know that) Str affects the dmg curve Vit affects the dmg curve on dmg recieved Agi lowers the chance of criticals on you etc..
Sheesh.. how many times do people need to clear this up?... >_>
WOW...when i get my samuria to lvl 75 this will be the coolest thing...everyone would ask where i got it and i would just laugh at them .............. HAHAHAHAHA these are so awsome :)
Wow! These are complete motivation to get my Ranger up to level 75. 15 agility is greater than all the gear i have at lvl 30 put together. 10 r.acc is nothing to laugh at either.
Ranged accuracy= agi? Isn't ranged accuracy just for accuracy with your ranged weapon. Why would it have to do with agi since agi is related to evasion which is dodging attacks.
