Upon right-click, Mitch says "I'm trying to find a group to go to a dungeon, but no one wants to adventure with a guy who can only die once."

This implies that the Ascended are known to be able to resurrect, instead of just dying once. This gives a logical reason to resurrecting back to your corpse.
