The Transformation Sphere lasts only 3 minutes and can only renewed while in Mired Convoy. This means you have to transform, run inside and do some damage, then get back out, re-transform and repeat until you have completed both quests.

Sure, but a Rat? and Ruined by a Rodent both turn you into a rat and have objectives within the same area.
