Rift Quest:The Tech is Mightier than the Sword  

The cannon is straight west of Brianna. Travel to it and interact with it. Simply wait for hordes of undead to come along and get destroyed by the cannon. After you receive quest completion credit Jakub will show up and destroy the cannon. Return to Brianna with the bad news and collect your reward.
