Dialogue

Battlemaster Atrophinius: "It seems we have guests, lads! Come, wanderers, and join us for some mead. We have a fresh brew arriving shortly."

Autumnal Lackey: "But Atrophinius, these interlopers seek to harm Lord Twyl!"

Battlemaster Atrophinius: "Then let us toast to Twyl's demise! That frosty fop has rules our court too long. Now where is that new keg?"

Autumnal Lackey: "Master, the mead is not coming. While you dozed these vandals butchered our best brewers and exterminated our prized vespids!"

Battlemaster Atrophinius: "WHAT!? I would have you as guests, and you desecrate my mead garden! Pull the wings from every wanton pixie! Skin every slimy bogling in the marsh! But do not interfere with my revelry! You will pay for this insult."

Normal Fight Encounter

(Normal: 17,370 hp) is the boss waiting at the end of the Autumn section of the instance. When you first encounter Battlemaster Atrophinius he will give a little speech, then become targetable. In the speech he converses with one or both Autumnal Lackeys which are present during the battle as well.

The Battlemaster is known for his brutal Area Effect knockback that he performs every now and again. It doesn't do much damage (or any at all) but does kick the party in all directions. He also has a cleave light attack, so DPS should position themselves behind the boss. Ranged should stay at a distance where they would not cause trouble if knocked back, and the tank should place themselves against a wall. Other than that, it is a straightforward brawl with the boss. The two Lackeys are caster types, but do not do significant damage. Most parties ignore them.

Upon defeating Atrophinius, the two Lackeys will run away and despawn.

Strategy

Battlemaster Atrophinius has two pals that hit like a wet noodle and can either be killed quickly or ignored depending on the crankiness of your healer. He will occasionally charge players and reset his aggro, so dps should stop for a second or two after each charge.

Abilities

  • Mighty Cleave - Hits multiple targets in front of him. DPS and heals should stand behind the boss to avoid this.
  • Drunken Rage - Charges a random player and knocks them back. Tank should back against a rock to avoid the knock-back which will make holding aggro difficult.

Expert Fight Encounter

''The encounter is quiet similar to the normal one, except that everything hits harder.

The tank should fight the boss standing in front of the stone wall, so he doesn't get knocked back. The group should focus the adds one by one, so it's best for the tank to start by tanking the boss and one add, while the group kills the other one, which can be tanked by an off-tank or just be kept in check with cc. Once one add is dead, kill the other one and finally the boss.''
