River trolls dwell in deep swamps or remote parts of rivers. They sometimes decorate themselves with bones of fish in their hair and seaweed to cover themselves. Their skin is slimy, scaly and green, and their backs are hunched over. They use old branches of trees with bones, teeth, and even skulls of dead creatures to make primitive weapons. They are known for their putrid stench that can even be harmful.
