If you see * after a spell, it means the spell in question is not from the rogue soul it's listed under but from a different rogue soul. They are included as an example of a fully functioning macro covering all 66 points spent and should be treated as such. If you decide to copy the macro as it is listed be sure to remove the spells with the * or your macro will not function correctly.
When you see the #show YOURSPELLHERE of each macro keep in mind that it boils down to personal preference of what to actually show. You may chose any ability icon to be displayed. An example is: #show Cadence
You can add any macros you'd like to share by pressing "Edit," above (free ZAM login required).

Single Target Spam
This is a example of a single target spam macro for Assassin. You can arrange your dps spells in any order you want, but be mindful that some spells should always go at the end of a macro. An example would be ensuring Savage Strike is placed last, since if you list it first the rest of your macro will never fire due to Savage Strike having no recast time. Off global cooldowns and ranged abilities can be placed after Savage Strike as off global cooldowns fire first and don't interfere with global cooldown spells. Ranged abilities will still activate if your target moves outside of your melee range.

One-Button Motif Casting
This macro chain can be complicated and must be done carefully to get it to work. First you will need to choose a single key that will be used to cast your motifs. We will call this your Chosen key. A numpad key or the tilde key work well since they will not interfere with the default key bindings. Also, you may want to add a new action bar to hold your key bindings and new macros. For example if you now use action bars 1 and 2, add action bar 3 by going to Settings/Interface/Action Bars. After saving the new action bar set up, go to Settings/Key Bindings and scroll down until you see the new action bar number you will be using. Just below that, on Action Bar # Button 1, click on Not Bound, then press your Chosen key to bind it to this button. Click Apply to save. Go to your chat box and type /exportkeybindings 1. Repeat for Buttons 2 through 5, ending at /exportkeybindings 5. Answer Yes to overwrite the previous binding since it has been saved by exporting. Once the following macros have been made and put on your new action bar, when you press your Chosen key five times, it will cycle through casting all five motifs:
