In 2012 the SOE Fan Faire was renamed to SOE Live.This is a Sony Online Entertainment-sponsored event designed to allow players the chance not only to meet one another, but also many of the more prominent SOE personalities. It's a great opportunity to meet the real people behind the online avatars and the game itself. Though attendees will have plenty of opportunity to mingle freely with one another and make new friends, they'll also have the chance to participate in a number of panel discussions and game-themed live events.
On February 2, 2014, just after the sale of SOE was announced, Linda "Brasse" Carlson posted on her Facebook feed:
"For those asking about SOE Live: we are taking a hiatus from our annual Live event to shift our focus to our exciting transition and the future of Daybreak Game Company."
SOE Live 2013 will be held August 1 - 4, 2013 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, NV. This year will include some Sunday panels.
SOE Live 2012 was held October 18 - 21, 2012 at Bally's Casino in Las Vegas.
