Greetings from the WoW Content Management Team,
If you are reading this, it is because the WoW portion of the wikibase is still heavily under construction and we don't have much to see...wait wait wait! That doesn't mean you need to leave!
We can use all the help we can get around here. Creating a Wiki for a game as massive as World of Warcraft is going to take a lot of work from a lot of people, and we will be happy to take all the volunteer writers we can get. You have a chance to be part of something from the start. If you decide you would like to contribute, here's a few valuable pieces of information.
First, there's the actual act of working on a Wiki. Most of you have read stuff on Wikis. Most of you have probably not actually written articles for one. A few resources for you then:
There is PLENTY that could be brought up about what to do or not to do. But the most important thing is that the CM's will be patrolling the articles for changes, so if you break something horribly, or put something inappropriate in, we'll be there to fix it. If you have any questions about what to do or how to do it, check out the links up above.
If you need help finding a place to start, click on any red link, or check out for partially-written articles. If you start on something, the only thing we ask that you absolutely 100% must do is include [[Category:World of Warcraft]] so we can search it out later.
There's also articles that aren't even close to being done, but have gotten started. Feel free to check out the list for partially written articles. If you write a portion of an article and decide to leave out some topics for yourself or someone else to tackle later, toss in [[Category:WoW_Stubs]] as well.
Are there other things that would be nice if you'd do those as well? You bet. Adding in links to other articles, including the article in other appropriate categories, and giving credit to any sources you draw from (especially WoWwiki!) are all pretty important. But that should be enough to get you started.
So that's our goal, and we'd love for you to be a part of it! Feel free to shoot me a Private Message if you'd like to get in on the action and aren't sure where to start.
