There's a tale that the port of L'Anguille in Bretonnia is guarded by Theralind, beloved of Corduin who was the first Duke of L'Anguille and one of the Grail Companions from the time of Gilles Le Breton. The story goes that she was turned into a sea monster by a jealous hag, but her purity won out so that she became the protector of the port. The device of L'Anguille is a sea monster in remembrance of the first Duchess. Her grief is said to cause the storms that lash the coast.
