Inside the Studio Ep. 10 has been released on the DC Universe Online Facebook page, and it once again features Game Director Chris Cao and Creative Director Jens Andersen answering questions from fans. There aren't any major revelations in the short Q&A, but you can read a brief summary of their answers after the jump.

The duo also reminds players that you have to pre-order the game to play as Batman in a two-on-two arena battle. If you want to play as the Dark Knight, head over to the official pre-order page!

DC Universe Online's PlayStation 3 Beta Has Begun

According to a brief status update on DC Universe Online's Facebook page, the PlayStation 3 beta has begun! If you've been wanting to try out DCUO on your console rather than your PC, now's your chance. If you already submitted a pre-order receipt and didn't get your key yet, SOE is asking you to submit it again on the game's official site as soon as possible to ensure entry into the beta. It's also not too late to pre-order the game.

The NDA was recently lifted for the beta, so you can share your thoughts on DCUO. Personally, I feel the game plays much better with a controller than a keyboard and mouse, so it's definitely worth checking out on the PS3. What do you think?

New DCUO Video Showcases the Physics System

If you want to get a look at DC Universe Online's physics systems, you should definitely check out the new video that Sony Online Entertainment just posted on the game's Facebook page. Game Director Chris Cao says that DCUO is the first MMO to have a fully integrated physics system and uses gameplay footage to demonstrate how you can pick up objects and use them as weapons. Some powers allow you to generate physics objects, and you can even encase your enemies in ice and toss them around!

In case you missed yesterday's announcement, the NDA for the DC Universe Online beta has officially been lifted. If you've participated in the beta, what are your thoughts on the physics system?

Take a Tour of Gotham City in DC Universe Online

Sony Online Entertainment's newest screenshots and trailer focus on Batman and the area he calls home: Gotham City. While it should certainly come as no surprise that the Dark Knight will play a major role in DC Universe Online, the images are definitely worth a look to see the hero in action.

The new trailer takes us on a fly-through tour of Gotham City. You can catch glimpses of Arkham Asylum, Ace Chemicals, Crime Alley, the Gotham Freight Yards, the Knights Dome Sports Complex, Amusement Mile, the Cape Carmine Lighthouse and the Gotham Police Department after the jump.

DC Universe Online Pre-Order Beta Begins

Sony Online Entertainment has officially kicked off the pre-order beta for DC Universe Online by opening up some brand new beta servers. DCUO Interview: Creative Director Jens Andersen

I recently had the chance to attend the DC University press event at Sony Online Entertainment's Austin studio to learn more about DC Universe Online. After the class, I was able to get some additional insight from Creative Director Jens Andersen on why the game was delayed until early 2011 and what sets it apart from other MMOs and action games.

Andersen goes into detail about the planned update schedule for DC Universe Online and confirms that the secret identity system is currently on the back burner. He does shed some light on the team's original secret identity plans, which included an offline component that would make you the secret identity for your character! Keep reading after the jump for more information on the game straight from the creative director.

Last Chance to Pre-Order for a Guaranteed Beta Key

The DC Universe Online closed beta began last month, and Sony Online Entertainment announced at the time that players who submitted a valid pre-order receipt by Nov. 15 would definitely receive a beta key. Well, that day has arrived! If you want a guaranteed DCUO beta key, pre-order your copy of the game now and send in your receipt by the end of the day!

If you submit your receipt today, you'll receive your beta key by Nov. 30. If you send in your pre-order receipt later, you'll still receive a key on or before the last week of testing. SOE hasn't announced the end date for the closed beta, but the game is scheduled to launch in early 2011.

New DCUO Video: Acrobatic Movement

The DCUO official Facebook page and Youtube page have both been updated with a new video highlighting the Acrobatic Movement mode. Creative Director Jens Andersen talks players through the video explaining how acrobats get to explore the DC Universe by scalling buildings, clinging to any surface and leaping across roof-tops.

The zipline is another feature highlighted in the video which allows players to use their agility to their advantage in combat and exploring.
