Steam Family Sharing Now Available

Valve announced yesterday that the Steam Family Sharing program has been released for all Steam users. The program allows those who share computers to also share game libraries with each other. By requesting access to a game from your family member's library, you can then install it yourself while enjoying your own save files and achievements for it.

Deus Ex: The Fall to Launch on PC

Following the success of the 2013 release of Deus Ex: The Fall on mobile devices, Square Enix has announced that the game is to be released through Steam on the PC platform in the coming weeks.

Valve Unveils Third-Party Steam Machine Partners

Valve has been relatively quiet with its plans on how to distribute the upcoming SteamOS. Enter CES 2014 and Valve is making headlines once again. While it was certain that a first-party "Steam Machine" was in the works, little was known about Valve's plans to expand past partnering with iBuyPower and Digital Storm. Yesterday it was unveiled that Valve has partnered with 14 third-party companies in order to make and distribute Steam Machines.

Steam Machines and Controllers Shipping

Steam Machines and Steam Controllers were shipped on Friday, December 13th to the 300 beta participants!

The 300 selected beta testers were notified by Valve midday on December 11th that they were chosen for the Steam hardware and SteamOS testing. They also received a badge on their Steam Community profile and a number of games that run natively on SteamOS.

New Video Shows Steam Controller Demonstration

On Friday, Valve released a video showing off how the new Steam Controller is used in a number of already released games. In the corner of the video, you will see the controller cam showing off how the controller is used to control the demonstrated games (Portal 2, Civilization 5, CS:GO and Papers, Please).
