Getting Caught Up With TERA's News
An Epic Quest
This post has links to various happenings in the official TERA news forum lately. We haven't kept things completely up to date, but perhaps that will change with time. We know that not all of you have enough time to check it every day. That's what I'm here for. Click "Read More" to read about En Masse's new e-commerce agreement, six new skills for six different classes, plus some pretty high resolution screenshots taken in two different locations. Onward!
Digital River Signs E-Commerce Agreement with En Masse Entertainment
===================================================================
In a press release, En Masse announced that they signed an agreement to have Digital River deliver e-commerce services to TERA. This includes important details like subscriptions, the payments for those subscriptions, virtual currencies, and where would a world be without dedicated fraud protection? While it may not seem like the most important news, it really is! This agreement is the basis of getting TERA started here in North America and in Europe. Without these financial services in place, there's no way to play the game, after all.
From the article:
“We looked at a variety of scenarios and quickly determined that Digital River had the most scalable solution,” said Patrick Wyatt, Chief Operating Officer, En Masse Entertainment. “Digital River has the global e-commerce experience, and powerful online and in-game features that we demand for our flagship product.”

New Skills Under Development, Parts 1 & 2
===================================================================
The real meat of TERA is going to be its combat system, so there's no wonder why more combat details have been released. Below are links to both of the recent new skills articles posted by Scapes (Senior Community Manager) on the official TERA-Online.com forums. There is a third installment to come, too!

Screenshots of the Week: Valley of Nihil
===================================================================
Also attached to this post is a collection of FOUR (4) screenshots taken from the game location The Valley of Nihil. They do a great job of showing how barren an area is. This area is nice to see since, well, most of the content up to now took place in lightly wooded forests and grass fields. Here's to hoping snow or some other bizarre phenomenom gets added in! I would have liked to have seen the in-game screenshots have at least 4x anti aliasing on for a really smooth picture, but alas, we will have to wait for retail to see that.

Screenshots of the Week: Castanica, the Shrouded Rose
===================================================================
This is yet another update for the Castanic race's capital city. There has been a lot of data coming out about Castanica lately, and if the World Lore and Massively's exclusive Castanic lore didn't let you imagine the theme of the Castanic town, then perhaps the four attached images will help.
