Lots of Offsite TERA Coverage @ Gamescon 2010
Latest news coverage courtesy of other sites.
In yet another multi-update post, we bring you all of the recent official forum announcements of offsite TERA coverage. Due to Gamescon 2010 recent occurrence, a lot of press attending the event have posted their TERA impressions among other games. Sorry we couldn't be there ourselves, but there's always next time.
IGN's TERA Impressions from Gamescom 2010
====================================================================
I personally liked this impression. It's very detailed for an encounter that the writer, Charles Onyett, describes as being a relatively short play session. It's recommended that up and coming spellcasters in training read this one. A paragraph from the article:
"My role during the fights was fairly simple – stay out of range of the enemies' melee attacks and relentlessly toss fire and ice of single-target and area of effect varieties at enemies until they keeled over. Very often I'd have to recharge mana, and would have to carefully position myself during these times since the initial casting duration required I stay rooted to one spot. The trick of combat was the enemies are constantly moving around, meaning I had to take care where I was aiming when readying an attack, something that was especially important since a few abilities had sizeable charge up times."

GameSpot's TERA Impressions from Gamescom 2010
====================================================================
Watch out, kids. Coming through. The pros at GameSpot.com are working. They spent some time with TERA and have this and more to report:
One thing's for certain--Tera is an action-focussed MMO if ever we saw one. Our gameplay session was spent hammering the mouse buttons and furiously tapping the number keys to unleash a constant barrage of attacks and spells. The game relies on the player to direct the action--there's no auto targeting, meaning you have to aim your attacks, while dodging those of your opponents is key to survival. Our character was good at brute force, but he also had a spell at his disposal to stun enemies, allowing him to get in there with the sword.

G4TV's The MMO Report Covers TERA's Gamescom Trailer
====================================================================
In a very recent episode of The MMO Report, TERA gets its new trailer showcased on teevee. But wait, didn't we already cover that trailer? Uhh. No way, dude. Never. We would never do that. And because we would never do that, ignore the past and have fun with Uncle Casey's antics.
Video Description: Casey shows you the space combat in Star Wars: The Old Republic, tells you how Blizzard won $88 Million, and Uncle Casey's Mail Bag!

"Game blog Destructoid has published a lengthy article detailing their hands-on experience with TERA this week at Gamescom 2010", which means prepare to spend 10-20 minutes of your hard-earned free time before you click through. There was some initial confusion from this article because it mentioned NCSoft as the publisher. Boy, just think on if that were actually true. We wouldn't want TERA to be too much like Aion, now would we? The article has since been corrected to mention the rightful publisher: En Masse Entertainment. Enjoy the reading, because you should have done more of it in school.
