Gameforge announces free-to-play TERA in Europe

If you play TERA in Europe you may have read yesterday's free-to play news and asked "hey, what about us?!". Well, today is your day.

Gameforge, which publishes TERA in Europe, announced today that it's following in the footsteps of the Korean, Japanese and North American markets:

"We are very pleased to be able to in future offer the game content of TERA to its fans for free and in addition, to offer all who are interested the opportunity to see the quality of the game for themselves”, said Eva Schmitt, Product Director of TERA."

It seems as though the account options are tweaked slightly from what we learned in yesterday's North American announcement. European players will have access to as a Free User, a Veteran User or become a member of the TERA club, for which there is no information yet available. If you purchasd TERA, you're a Veteran:

"Players that acquired TERA by purchase will be ranked as veterans and will enjoy free and complete access to all game functions – no matter whether they have a subscription at the time of the switch or not."

Like the North American version, the European free-to-play TERA is scheduled to release in February of 2013.
