anyone who says these arent good for war doesnt know the dd side of the job.. yes make a macro for equip/unequip... you can still run while the macro is in effect just not auto run........ 3% haste in hand slot with the attack..... your gonna hit harder and faster, like a.... DD.... that's right a dd.... which is what war does (of course they are 'tank' class but let's face it... war make much better dd than a tank, not there isnt anything wrong with tanking, but from a dd prospective these gloves own for war) haste will help with every aspect of the job, recast utsu to meleeing faster... running slightly slower (if your too newbish to not know how to run and hit a change equip macro) is a small price to pay for haste and attack
Do anyone know if there is a hidden MP Drain effect on these? I have Dusk Gloves and Dusk Trousers along with my new Walahra Turban and I noticed that the 30MP I get from the turban are depleted in a few seconds. I never noticed it before since I never had MP before the turban. Just something I noticed this morning, thought I would ask around. I will conduct some tests on it later today and post the results tomorrow.
About the only job I could see Dusk being good for is ranger
{Um...} I don't see how ranger could benefit from these. +5 Attack doesnt do THAT much for there ranged attack. Haste3%+ is good for ninjas..it decreases their Ni+Ichi recast time, thus, allowing them to tank those monster which have hi attack speed.. HP+20...duh! keeps you alive! xD
These gloves are sweet for warrior. I just got a pair the other day and my tp and atk rate is sweet. The movement speed is barely noticeable but if it really bothers you ya can always take them off :P.
Now dont say well you can make a switch equip macro cause well having to do that for MY job is also slowing things down. About the only job I could see Dusk being good for is ranger.
slowing you down? its one freaking press of a button or key to use a equip macro....lazy

I used to macro in a cache-nez on my ninja but found that it slowed down provoke too much... sometimes it ran away because of the /wait. Just being helpful :D

Actually you dont need a /wait until you want to *remove* the gear if youre macroing in enmity gear for voke you would just do /equip body "enmity gear" /ja Provoke <t> /wait 1 /equip body "tank gear"
haste+3% in a slot where there is absolutely no other haste available(except koga tekko at night i believe) should out weigh the disadvantage of running slowly. make a macro to take it off for when you're moving about.
I dunno, despite her poor post, she has a point. The movement speed reduction is almost impossible to notice, you probably only notice when someone slightly outruns you to something. I get the feeling Dusk gear's redution doesn't stack, either.
I've tried striders and nation aketons, they're barely noticeable as well. People just talk about them because the idea of running faster than someone else is appealing. Aside from Flee, movement speed adjustments are pretty poorly executed.
well you obviously don't run around with the things on when running around..........just equip them while exping, and then unequip while running........not that difficult to fathom......exp = wear, non-exp = don't, i personally think i'm going to get the whole set for my drg when i'm high enough.....
