Strategy

Warmaster Galenir is rather simple fight with a complicated setup. You will need 2 tanks, and at least 3 healers with 3 support is highly recommended due to extreme raid damage.

Galenir has several abilities to note. Tanks will want to watch out for stacks of Infecting Strike, a debuff which causes the tank to explode (killing the raid) at 10 stacks. It is highly recommended to taunt off every 6-8 stacks, and it then becomes important that both tanks are the top two slots on the threat table.

All raiders will want to want to watch their debuff bar for Essence Transfer, which causes spells, attacks or abilities to heal him for about 125k health each. This does include pets as well. What we did was to have all raid members have a macro to stop casting, set pet to passive and target the tank. Melee with this debuff should make sure to face away from the boss to avoid accidental melee attacks.

As you will see, we had two bards form a triangle behind the raid group, this was to accurately place and mitigate Discordant Infection, which Gelenir will cast on the farthest raid members. These infections should be cleansed immediately as they do immense damage.

Aside from these abilities, he also casts a single-target fear as well as an AoE damage ability. This means healers and support will have a busy time in this encounter.

Galenir will also occasionally transform into werewolf form, and a Mote of Calm spawns. The werewolf form causes a debuff on all raid members which causes all spells and abilities to have a 25% higher cost. It is important to bring the Mote of Calm to Galenir quickly, as its aura will transform him back into human form, and hence mitigating the debuff.

Once you get all these mechanics down, Galenir is a fairly easy kill.
