Hello, my name is Azuarc, and I'm a zam-aholic.
Hi, Azuarc!
I've been known to write guides, and...and...edit the wiki. *sob* I broke the habit for about 6 months while I was teaching high school last year, but I-...I went back! *cry*
It's ok, Azuarc. Just tell us a little about yourself and what we can do to help.

I live in the Philadelphia area, and work for Allakhazam. I also have teaching certification and may go back to that in September if I can find a job.
I have been a lifelong video game junkie. Before Everquest, I knew all about many many many different games. Since then, my view has become...more focused. I played Everquest for about 3 years on the Luclin server as a High Elf cleric named Restandre. I was in the top guild at one point, and before that I was in the guild that (later) rose to the top. It was during this time that I started using Allakhazam, so when the WoW beta came around, I decided to help out.
I was an extremely helpful member of the WoW main forum during the early going. I would answer questions, write guides, and do whatever else I could to be useful. My karma, which had gotten battered from comments on EQ items, finally came back up into the scholar range. I had caught the administration's attention when I wrote a few zone questing guides, and so about a year after launch, after Allakhazam merged with other sites to form the ZAM network, and one of the OGaming staff decided not to continue on, I was asked to fill the vacancy.
Since then I've been merrily help improve the site in the limited ways that I can. I'm not a programmer, however I can take care of any major forum problems, give you pointers on how to use the site, or assist with anything you'd like to do to improve the site. In fact, I'm considered the "WoW wikibase admin" from being the first WoW CM assigned to organize the information we would eventually host. These days the other CMs work on it and are just as knowledgeable, but I will be more than happy to assist you with any article writing.
I'm well-known for a few different things. For a while I was renowned in the hunter community for some analysis of weapons, back before Burning Crusade. My theorycrafting hasn't quite kept up with the times, however my leveling guide can't become obsolete nearly as easily. What began as a very small project became an intense labor of love. The guide, overall, has been revised once already, and is slated for another overhaul when I can find time. Maybe I'll be able to put a fancy mod association with it, too.
This is version 2 of the guide. Revision 3 is on the way...maybe.
I decided on January 1, 2009 to make a New Year's Resolution to earn one achievement every single day on my level 70 priest. She had a scant 39 achievements when we began, making her an ideal target -- little need to level, but almost nothing done either. I have kept this up for some 5 1/2 months so far. (Writing this in June.)
I've written a few other guides under the old pre-wiki format that never got converted over, but here's a list of some of the ones that did make it. (Alas, my poor Molten Core guide.)
